THE GAME

A Game About What You Choose to Create

Most games begin by giving you a mission.

Defeat the enemy.

Capture the territory.

Accumulate resources.

Become more powerful.

Journey to Eden begins differently.

You awaken in a living world with no enemy to destroy and no kingdom to conquer.

There is simply a place.

And it needs you.

Not to rule it.

To care for it.

YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS IN THE GARDEN

The first playable world of Journey to Eden begins with something small.

A Garden.

When you first arrive, it isn't Eden.

Not yet.

Parts of the land may be dry.

Water may no longer flow where it once did.

Plants may struggle.

Creatures may be absent.

Paths may have disappeared.

Something may feel... unfinished.

You aren't given a long list of instructions.

Instead, you explore.

You observe.

You listen.

And slowly, you begin to understand the world around you.

WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY DO?

You interact with a living environment.

You might plant a seed.

Clear a blocked stream.

Repair a forgotten path.

Feed an animal.

Move a stone.

Restore a habitat.

Build something useful.

Discover something hidden.

Help another character.

Sit beside someone who is lonely.

Follow a creature into the woods.

Listen to the wind.

Or simply stop moving long enough to notice something that wasn't visible before.

Every action doesn't earn points.

Every discovery isn't announced.

And every important moment doesn't come with a reward.

Sometimes the reward is simply:

The world became a little more beautiful because you were there.

EDEN RESPONDS

The world remembers how you treat it.

Care for the Garden and the Garden responds.

Flowers may appear.

Trees may grow.

Water may become clearer.

Birds may return.

Animals may begin trusting you.

New paths may reveal themselves.

Music may become richer.

Light may change.

Characters may respond differently.

Places that once felt empty may slowly come alive.

The transformation isn't merely decoration.

The world itself becomes a reflection of your relationship with it.

THERE IS NO SCORE FOR KINDNESS

Journey to Eden isn't built around accumulating points for doing good things.

You don't receive:

+10 KINDNESS

because you helped someone.

The world itself is the feedback.

A person remembers.

An animal returns.

A garden blooms.

A door opens.

A community begins gathering.

Something once broken becomes whole.

You may not even understand the importance of something you did until much later.

Because that's often how life works.

CHOICE WITHOUT GOOD-GUY / BAD-GUY BUTTONS

We don't want Journey to Eden to constantly ask:

GOOD CHOICE

or

BAD CHOICE?

Real choices are rarely that simple.

Sometimes helping one part of the world may affect another.

Sometimes acting quickly may be useful.

Sometimes patience may be better.

Sometimes building something new is the answer.

Sometimes leaving something untouched is wiser.

Sometimes you will get it wrong.

That's okay.

Journey to Eden isn't asking you to be perfect.

It's asking you to pay attention.

LISTENING IS A GAME MECHANIC

In most games, standing still accomplishes nothing.

In Journey to Eden, it might change everything.

Stay somewhere long enough and you may hear something.

A bird.

Running water.

Music in the distance.

Someone crying.

A whispered conversation.

The sound of an animal moving through the trees.

Or perhaps...

nothing at all.

Silence matters in Eden.

Some things can only be discovered when you stop trying to accomplish something.

CREATION

As the world develops, you gain opportunities to create.

Gardens.

Paths.

Shelters.

Gathering places.

Art.

Music.

Habitats.

Places to eat.

Places to rest.

Places to play.

Places where people simply come together.

But building isn't about filling the world with objects.

Every creation asks another question:

Does this make Eden better?

The most elaborate creation isn't necessarily the best one.

Sometimes a bench beneath the right tree may matter more than a magnificent building.

RELATIONSHIPS MATTER

You won't build Eden alone.

As the world grows, you encounter other people.

Each has a story.

Each has needs.

Each has abilities.

Each sees the world differently.

Some may help you immediately.

Others may need time before they trust you.

Some may disagree with what you're doing.

Some may have ideas better than yours.

And some may possess exactly the knowledge needed to solve a problem you cannot solve yourself.

Journey to Eden isn't about becoming the hero everyone depends upon.

It is about helping create a world in which people begin depending upon one another.

THERE ARE PROBLEMS — BUT NOT ENEMIES

Eden isn't perfect.

If it were, there would be no journey.

There may be scarcity.

Broken ecosystems.

Isolation.

Fear.

Misunderstanding.

Neglect.

Conflicting needs.

Lost knowledge.

Damaged places.

And difficult choices.

But these problems aren't solved with a sword.

You investigate.

Experiment.

Listen.

Collaborate.

Create.

Repair.

And sometimes you simply try something and discover it doesn't work.

Then you try again.

THERE IS NO "GAME OVER"

Failure in Journey to Eden isn't necessarily the end.

It becomes part of the story.

A plant may die.

A project may fail.

Someone may reject your help.

A decision may produce an unexpected consequence.

Something you build may need to be changed.

But the world continues.

You learn.

You adapt.

You repair what you can.

And you keep going.

Because Eden isn't created by never making mistakes.

It is created by caring enough to keep trying.

THE WORLD GROWS WITH YOU

The Garden is only the beginning.

As Journey to Eden expands, your experience expands with it.

The questions become larger.

How do people live together?

How do communities share?

How should resources be used?

How do we care for people who need help?

How do we balance individual freedom with responsibility to others?

How do we welcome strangers?

How do we resolve disagreement without creating enemies?

How do we use technology without allowing technology to control our lives?

How do we create abundance without destroying the world that provides it?

Eventually, the little lessons of the Garden become the challenges of an entire civilization.

YOUR EDEN WILL NOT LOOK EXACTLY LIKE MINE

There is no single perfect Eden.

Your choices matter.

Your priorities matter.

The relationships you form matter.

The places you spend time matter.

The things you create matter.

The things you choose not to create matter too.

Two people may begin with similar Gardens and gradually create very different worlds.

That's intentional.

Journey to Eden isn't designed to tell you exactly what Heaven on Earth looks like.

It asks you to imagine it.

And then...

to begin building it.

PLAY ALONE. CREATE TOGETHER.

The first Journey to Eden experience can begin as something deeply personal:

You.

A Garden.

A living world.

But the larger dream goes beyond a solitary experience.

Over time, Journey to Eden can become a place where people create together.

Friends.

Families.

Children and grandparents.

Classrooms.

Communities.

People from different countries, cultures and beliefs.

Not competing to see who owns the most.

But cooperating to discover:

What can we create together that none of us could create alone?

NO ONE WINS EDEN

There is no final boss.

There is no victory screen announcing that you have conquered the world.

Perhaps one day you simply look around.

The Garden is alive.

Water flows.

Children play.

People gather.

Animals wander freely.

Music drifts through the trees.

Someone has left food for a neighbour.

Someone else has planted flowers beside a path.

A person you once helped is now helping someone else.

And you realize...

the world no longer needs you to be its hero.

It has learned how to care for itself.

Perhaps that is what winning looks like.

THE FIRST PLAYABLE EXPERIENCE

Christmas Day 2026

We are beginning where every Eden should begin.

Small.

Our goal for December 25, 2026 is not to release the entire world described on this page.

It is to release the beginning.

The Garden.

A beautiful, meaningful playable experience that introduces the heart of Journey to Eden and allows the first players to step inside the world.

Then we grow.

The Garden becomes larger.

New people arrive.

New places emerge.

New possibilities appear.

And together, we discover where the journey leads.

ONE FINAL QUESTION

Most games eventually ask:

Can you win?

Journey to Eden asks something different.

Can you care?

Can you notice?

Can you listen?

Can you create?

Can you forgive?

Can you cooperate?

Can you leave something better than you found it?

And perhaps the biggest question of all:

If we can learn to create Eden in a game...

what might we create in the real world?
