THE WORLD
Eden Begins Small
A seed.
A drop of water.
A patch of earth.
A single act of care.
That is where Journey to Eden begins.
Not with a sprawling civilization.
Not with a magnificent city.
Not with a perfect world.
With a Garden.
But if you care for something long enough...
it grows.
And so does Eden.
THE GARDEN
Where Everything Begins
You arrive quietly.
There are no cheering crowds.
No trumpet announces your arrival.
No voice tells you that you are the chosen one.
Before you is simply a living place that has forgotten some of what it could become.
The Garden isn't dead.
It is waiting.
Water once flowed here.
Flowers once grew here.
Creatures once made their homes here.
Paths once connected places that have become separated.
There are signs of what came before — and hints of what might come next.
Your first task isn't to change the Garden.
It is to understand it.
Walk.
Listen.
Observe.
Touch the earth.
Follow the water.
Notice where life is flourishing and where it is struggling.
The Garden will teach you how to care for it.
If you are willing to listen.
THE GARDEN REMEMBERS
Everything you do leaves a trace.
Plant something and it may grow.
Restore water and life may return.
Create shelter and something may eventually call it home.
Care for an animal and trust may develop.
Repair a path and someone else may begin using it.
The world doesn't simply wait for your next command.
It continues living.
Day becomes evening.
Weather changes.
Plants grow.
Creatures move.
People remember.
Things happen while you are somewhere else.
Eden isn't a collection of objects placed on a screen.
It is intended to feel alive.
BEYOND THE GARDEN
Eventually, you discover that Eden is larger than the little world where you began.
A path leads somewhere.
A sound comes from beyond the trees.
A stranger arrives.
Perhaps you discover a bridge.
Perhaps a gate.
Perhaps a trail you had walked past a dozen times suddenly seems different.
The Garden has taught you how to care for a place.
Now comes a harder question:
Can we care for one another?
THE VILLAGE
One person can tend a Garden.
A community requires something more.
People begin arriving.
Each brings something with them.
Knowledge.
Talent.
History.
Fear.
Hope.
Ideas.
Needs.
Perhaps one person knows how to grow food.
Another understands water.
Someone builds.
Someone cooks.
Someone teaches.
Someone makes music.
Someone cares for children.
Someone can repair almost anything.
And someone may appear to have nothing to offer...
until the moment comes when the entire Village discovers otherwise.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF ECONOMY
What happens when a game stops asking:
How much can I own?
and begins asking:
How much can we create together?
As Eden grows, resources matter.
Food matters.
Shelter matters.
Transportation matters.
Energy matters.
Tools matter.
But accumulation isn't the ultimate objective.
The deeper challenge is learning how to create enough — and then discovering how people might share abundance wisely.
Can a community make certain that everyone eats?
Can every person have somewhere safe to sleep?
Can resources circulate rather than simply accumulate?
Can technology reduce unnecessary work?
Can people contribute according to their abilities?
Can a community become richer because its people need less?
These aren't lectures disguised as gameplay.
They are possibilities to explore.
Experiment with them.
See what happens.
Build differently.
Try again.
Eden is a laboratory for hope.
THE CHILDREN OF EDEN
Children experience the world differently.
They notice things adults walk past.
They play where adults see empty space.
They ask questions adults stopped asking years ago.
They make friends before learning all the reasons they supposedly shouldn't.
In Journey to Eden, children aren't decorations standing beside adult characters.
They are part of the living world.
They explore.
Play.
Learn.
Create.
Ask questions.
Make mistakes.
Teach.
And sometimes understand exactly what Eden needs before anyone else does.
A healthy world isn't merely built for its children.
It is built with them.
THE CREATURES
Humans aren't the only inhabitants of Eden.
Birds.
Animals.
Insects.
Fish.
And countless forms of life share the world with us.
Some creatures may become comfortable around you.
Others may remain wild.
Some appear only under particular conditions.
Some may return only after an ecosystem has healed.
You don't collect them simply to complete a list.
You learn to live alongside them.
Perhaps the appearance of a butterfly tells you something.
Perhaps birds returning to a tree means more than any score ever could.
Perhaps one morning you notice an animal drinking from a stream you restored days earlier.
Nothing flashes on the screen.
No achievement appears.
You simply watch.
And smile.
THE WILDERNESS
Not every part of Eden should be developed.
Some places need to remain wild.
Forests.
Mountains.
Rivers.
Meadows.
Shorelines.
Places where human beings are visitors rather than owners.
The Wilderness may contain some of the world's greatest mysteries.
But entering it doesn't mean conquering it.
You learn its rhythms.
Respect its boundaries.
And occasionally discover that the best thing you can do for a place...
is leave it alone.
PLACES OF BELONGING
As communities grow, people need places to gather.
A table.
A café.
A garden.
A playground.
A workshop.
A field.
A kitchen.
A place for music.
A place for movement.
A place for learning.
A place for silence.
A place where someone who arrives alone doesn't have to remain alone.
You can help create these places.
But their value isn't determined by their size or cost.
A magnificent building that nobody loves may contribute very little to Eden.
A simple bench where two people become friends may change everything.
MUSIC LIVES HERE
Eden has a soundtrack.
But music isn't merely playing behind the world.
It belongs to it.
You may hear a melody from somewhere beyond the trees.
A musician may appear in the Village.
People may gather.
A song may become associated with a place, person or memory.
As the world changes, its music may change with it.
Sometimes sweeping.
Sometimes joyful.
Sometimes playful.
Sometimes almost silent.
And perhaps occasionally, when everything is exactly right...
the entire world seems to sing.
THE CITY
Eventually, Eden may face its greatest test.
Can the principles of a Garden survive inside a City?
More people.
More needs.
More movement.
More technology.
More complexity.
The City introduces questions that cannot be answered by simply planting another tree.
How should people move around?
How should food reach everyone?
How do we design housing?
How do we care for people who are struggling?
How do we welcome newcomers?
How do we provide opportunities without turning life into endless competition?
How do we create places where thousands of people can live without becoming strangers?
How do we build technology around human beings instead of forcing human beings to organize their lives around technology?
The City isn't Eden because it is perfect.
It becomes Eden when people decide to care for one another within it.
TECHNOLOGY IN EDEN
Journey to Eden isn't a rejection of technology.
Quite the opposite.
Technology can help create extraordinary abundance.
Clean energy.
Intelligent transportation.
Automation.
Artificial intelligence.
New forms of agriculture.
Communication.
Medicine.
Education.
Creation.
But Eden asks a different question about technology:
What is it for?
If technology saves us ten hours...
what will we do with those ten hours?
Work more?
Consume more?
Or perhaps...
spend time with our children.
Make music.
Grow food.
Help a neighbour.
Walk.
Create.
Rest.
Love.
Technology reaches its highest purpose in Eden when it gives people more opportunity to be fully human.
DIFFERENCE BELONGS HERE
Eden isn't a world where everyone becomes the same.
People bring different cultures.
Traditions.
Languages.
Beliefs.
Ideas.
Foods.
Music.
Stories.
Ways of seeing the world.
There will be disagreement.
There should be.
The challenge isn't creating a world without differences.
It is learning how to live together despite them.
Eden doesn't require uniformity.
It requires respect.
Curiosity.
Humility.
And the willingness to listen.
THE WORLD BEYOND YOUR WORLD
Imagine thousands of Edens.
Each different.
Each reflecting the people who helped create it.
One community may become filled with gardens.
Another with music.
Another with extraordinary architecture.
Another may devote itself to wildlife.
Another to learning.
Another to children.
Another to art.
And eventually, these worlds may begin connecting.
Not because one defeated the others.
Not because one became more powerful.
Because they discovered something worth sharing.
Knowledge travels.
Music travels.
Ideas travel.
People travel.
Seeds travel.
Stories travel.
And gradually, separate communities begin becoming something larger.
THERE IS NO FINISHED EDEN
Perhaps this is the greatest secret of Journey to Eden.
Eden is never truly finished.
There is always another seed to plant.
Another relationship to nurture.
Another person to welcome.
Another problem to understand.
Another beautiful thing to create.
Another generation arriving to imagine something we never considered.
Perfection isn't the destination.
Participation is.
Eden remains alive because people continue caring for it.
AND THEN SOMETHING REMARKABLE HAPPENS
At the beginning, you thought you were building Eden.
Eventually you realize...
Eden has been building you.
The Garden taught you to notice.
The creatures taught you patience.
The Village taught you cooperation.
The Wilderness taught you restraint.
The children taught you wonder.
The City taught you responsibility.
Other people taught you that your way wasn't the only way.
And somewhere along the journey, the question changed.
It was no longer:
What kind of world do I want?
It became:
What kind of person helps create that world?
OUR FIRST LITTLE CORNER OF EDEN
Everything described on this page represents the larger dream.
We aren't pretending it will all exist on Day One.
Christmas Day 2026 begins with the Garden.
Something small.
Something beautiful.
Something playable.
A place where we can begin exploring the ideas at the heart of Journey to Eden.
From there, we grow.
One plant.
One creature.
One person.
One relationship.
One community.
One world at a time.
WELCOME TO EDEN
Perhaps Eden was never supposed to be a place we discover fully formed.
Perhaps it isn't hidden somewhere behind us.
Perhaps it isn't waiting somewhere beyond us.
Perhaps Eden has always been an invitation.
An invitation to notice.
To care.
To create.
To share.
To belong.
To love.
And to leave the little piece of the world entrusted to us...
better than we found it.
